Saif Kalboneh Obituary Connecticut and Death | Ellington-Hartford-Milford CT

Saif Kalboneh, a beloved former Ellington High School student and a proud alumnus of Eastern Connecticut State University, has passed away, leaving his family, friends, and community heartbroken. He was just 30 years old.

Saif was best known in his hometown of Ellington, Connecticut, as a standout soccer player and member of the Ellington Knights Varsity Soccer Team. A graduate of the Class of 2014, he played as part of the senior squad in 2013, helping his team to a respectable 7-4 season record. His athleticism and team spirit earned him admiration from peers, coaches, and competitors alike. The Knights ranked #6 in the state and #244 nationally that year — a season that remains etched in the memories of many who watched him play.

After high school, Saif continued his journey at Eastern Connecticut State University, where he not only pursued his education but also gave back as a mentor. As an intern with ECSU’s STEP/CAP program, he guided incoming freshmen through the challenges of transitioning to college life. His empathy, patience, and dedication made a lasting impact on the students he worked with.

Professionally, Saif’s career was marked by a steady rise in leadership. He began as a Factory Manager at Purest of America before moving into roles of increasing responsibility. He worked as an Account Development Manager at Barton Associates and later served as a Personal Producer at American Income Life Insurance Company.

In 2021, Saif joined Amazon and quickly proved himself a capable and driven leader. He served as an Area Manager for three years before being promoted to Operations Manager in 2024 — a role he held with pride and excellence until his passing. His colleagues remember him for his strategic thinking, warm demeanor, and the mentorship he extended to those under his supervision.

Beyond his resume, Saif Kalboneh will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to bettering the lives of those around him. Whether on the soccer field, in the workplace, or among friends, he brought passion and purpose to everything he did.

He is survived by his loving family, many friends, former teammates, and coworkers who will forever cherish the memories they made with him.

A memorial service will be announced by the family in the coming days. The Ellington community joins in mourning a life gone too soon — one that touched many and left a legacy of integrity, service, and love.

May Saif Kalboneh rest in peace.
